Vishant joined EnerNex in 2008 as a Utility Information Security Architect on the Smart Grid Engineering team. He has over seven years of experience in the technology and cyber security field and his areas of expertise include Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP). In addition he has experience with federal government relations and program management.

Prior to joining EnerNex, Vishant was the Deputy Director for the Control Systems Security Program, where he supported the Critical Infrastructure Protection activities and developed cyber security strategies, policies, and guidance to address issues such as public/private sector collaboration and in concert with the National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace, Homeland Security Presidential Directive 7 (HSPD-7) and the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP). He provided program analysis and direction, vulnerability identification and reduction efforts across multiple sectors including energy, water and chemical. Vishant coordinated vulnerability identification and reduction activities to assess the direction over the conduct of related projects and initiatives within the CIP program.

Vishant was responsible for coordinating outreach, education and information sharing efforts across the Federal, State and Local governments, U.S. critical infrastructure, private sector organizations and the international community. He also was responsible for the delivery of quarterly introductory and advanced control systems training. Working with the private sector, he participated in developing “Aurora” vulnerability mitigation plans.
