EnerNex Corporation is seeking a utility enterprise information systems architect with project management skills. Duties include requirements capture, literature searches, and qualitative and quantitative analyses for a variety of projects related to utility communications and information systems. Project areas include distributed resources, demand response programs, advanced metering infrastructure, power measurement, remote control, distribution system automation, and utility cyber security. The position involves assisting utility clients in requirements capture, requirements analysis, developing information system architecture based on requirements, developing bid specifications, writing reports and preparing project deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have a BS in electrical engineering; a strong background in enterprise information architecture; familiarity with common utility communication protocols; familiarity with utility enterprise information models such as the IEC Common Information Model (CIM); excellent writing ability and presentation skills; strong quantitative and computer skills; and attention to detail. Knowledge of utility SCADA systems, databases, distribution automation, work experience in electric utilities, government or consulting, awareness of or participation in IntelliGrid, GridWise, OpenAMI, or related consortia, and a master's degree are a plus. Candidates must possess current eligibility to work in the United States.
