KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 22, 2010 — EnerNex© Corporation, a leading provider of electric power research, engineering and consulting, announces today the organizational changes to staff leadership in order to meet the growing demand of Smart Grid and Power Systems engineering.
Doug Houseman recently joined the firm as the Vice President of Technology Innovation. Houseman brings over 30 years of electric power research and innovation expertise, including senior leadership experience at Capgemini. He has extensive experience in the energy and utility industry and has been involved in projects in more than 30 countries. Over the years, he has facilitated over 40 single utility Smart Grid roadmap sessions in 14 countries.
Newly appointed Vice President of Program and Resource Management, Gary Davis’ career has spanned a number of decades in the electric utility industry, including one of five largest utilities in the U.S., where he gained experience in a spectrum of utility business activities: distribution system design, operations, and supporting technologies, to name a few. He has held numerous management positions both within the utility and as a consultant. Davis’ past experience in managing personnel, projects, programs, and budgets have been well leveraged during his tenure at EnerNex.
Melissa Campbell, with her extensive background in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial oversight, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer for the firm. She joined the firm as an Accounting Assistant before being named Controller in 2007; she will continue to contribute to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks for the organization.
Rick Wornat, who joined the firm in 2008 as a Consultant, will take on a new role as Vice President of Business Services Consulting. Wornat has 21 years of broad-based experience as a management consultant in the electric and natural gas utility industries in the United States and abroad. EnerNex is pleased to have Wornat serve as the Project Manager for the Illinois Statewide Smart Grid Collaborative; his role is to help facilitate the collaborative and develop a recommended course of action for Smart Grid development and deployment for the entire state of Illinois.
Stuart McCafferty, Vice President of Government Projects, is an IT and Project Management professional with 20 years of experience and specialized expertise in managing complex systems integration projects, system architecture design, and software. Currently, McCafferty is the Project Manager for the EnerNex contract awarded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to support of the Smart Grid interoperability standards development and harmonization effort.

EnerNex also announces two staff additions. Stephan Amsbary joins the organization as Director of Utility Enterprise Architecture, and Sandy Bacik as Principal Consultant.
Amsbary comes to EnerNex with 25 years of experience in the power industry and has an established track record of identifying, developing, proposing, articulating and applying information technology solutions to solve client requirements and revenue objectives. Bacik also brings a wealth of experience as an author and former Chief Security Officer, she has over 14 years direct development, implementation, and management information security experience.
