KNOXVILLE, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
EnerNex announced today two recent personnel additions to the firm within the power systems consulting team.

Tom Grebe joins EnerNex as a Principal Consultant and will be responsible for extending EnerNex’s already extensive power systems engineering study practice. Tom’s experience as an engineer at an electric utility and as an engineering consultant has made him an expert in the analysis of power system transient switching concerns; analysis of harmonic concerns; calculation of fault currents and determination of relay settings for the protection of generation, transmission, and distribution systems; and development of methods and requirements for the protection of transmission and distribution capacitor banks.

Grebe is well known and respected in the power systems engineering community and provides a wealth of knowledge that spans more than two decades in the areas of power system and power quality analysis. He started his career in the system protection department of Dominion Virginia Power and most recently was with Electrotek Concepts where he provided engineering consulting services to utilities and their customers on multiple projects in transient analysis, harmonic monitoring and analysis, PQSoft support services, seminar development and instruction, and website development and support.

Currently, Grebe is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Power and Energy Society (PES), Chairman of the IEEE Working Group on Capacitor Technical Papers, and is Past Chairman of the IEEE PES T&D Committee, as well as a member of various other professional organizations. In addition, he is registered as a Professional Engineer.

Erich Gunther, EnerNex Chairman and CTO, remarked: “EnerNex founders Jeff Lamoree, Bob Zavadil and myself had the pleasure of working with Tom at Electrotek from 1990-2003 and we are very pleased to have Tom on our team again here at EnerNex.”

Sarina Adhikari comes on board as a senior power systems consultant with solid expertise in power system analysis, distributed generation, inverter controls, and renewable energy integration.
