EnerNex developed a conceptual design for more than 3000 MW of planned wind power plants located in the Tehachapi area in Southern California. This included detailed power system models with Digsilent, PSLF and EMTP-ATP for performing load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, breaker recovery voltage capability, and turbine zero voltage ride through capability. Various connection configurations were analyzed to determine a cost effective and reliable design for the interconnection. High voltage and medium voltage equipment specifications and ratings were determined for substation equipment.
