Cedric recently joined EnerNex as a Consultant. He graduated from the American University of Beirut (AUB) as an Electrical & Computer Engineer. In his final year project, he was part of a team that designed a solar power supply system for a village in Lebanon to mitigate power outages and rising fuel costs. Preliminary tender documents covering technical specifications and timelines for the supply, installation, and commissioning of the system were developed. The project included a financial and economic analysis to provide advice to municipality officials on the financial viability of the project.
At EnerNex, using PSCAD, he evaluated several PV and BESS interconnection models to find deficiencies. He also participated in the development of the Software Requirements Specifications for an Interface module that is linked to an e-Mobility application. The internationally recognized protocol OpenADR2.0b was used for the interface. He was part of the team that worked on the implementation of smart grid in Tunisia. He analyzed the smart grid maturity report, its gaps and how to improve it. Cedric was involved in writing a paper about energy storage. The paper proposes an assessment framework to evaluate the impacts of different battery energy storage system locations settings on the reliability of distribution system. The paper was accepted by CIGRE and was placed on the program for the 2022 conference in Paris.
