Hannah Mendel is a Consultant on EnerNex’s Smart Grid Engineering team. As a Mechanical Engineer well-versed in project management and problem identification in processes, Hannah works with EnerNex clients to examine and model static and dynamic systems. She prepared architecture models for EnerNex’s Energy Secure Philippines project and assisted in writing Idaho National Labs (INL) Cybersecurity Guide for Distributed Wind projects. 

Hannah assessed current energy consumption and modeled future energy demands using Excel and MATLAB and researched, designed, and evaluated output models of renewable energy resources, including wind turbines, ground source heat pumps, and biomass conversion through anaerobic digestion. Skills include experience with Six Sigma Principles, Lean Manufacturing, Microsoft Office, R, MATLAB, PTC Mathcad, and Creo. Prior to EnerNex, she served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Powerhouse Energy Institute and generated a net zero energy National Western Center (NWC) campus.
